Common Mode Chokes

29th September 2026

Common mode chokes suppress unwanted noise in both common mode and differential modes. In common mode (noise), currents flow in the same direction between different windings. The combined magnetic fields (magnetic flux) create a high impedance that attenuates the noise generated.

In differential mode (desired signal) electric currents flow between the windings in different directions. The different magnetic fields generated cancel each other out and the electric signal passes through freely.

As the magnetic permeability of the ferrite body of the inductor is high it eliminates EMI at high frequencies. Due to the special winding technology, the common mode inductor does not degrade the electrical signal when filtering noise. In addition to this it works at high cut off frequency in differential mode.

Both our CMC1210 and CMC1608 profiles are space saving devices. Standard lead time for these profiles is 6-8 weeks. Special expedite service is available for urgent requirements. We offer competitive pricing compared to other EMI passives suppliers on the market. Custom profiles available subject to minimum order quantity.
