EMI Absorbers are metal or ferrite sheets designed to repel unwanted noise and protect signal integrity. The ferrite sheet is applied direct to the noise source to stop it from spreading and causing cross talk. Kitagawa EMI absorbers have adhesive tape applied one side that can adhere to any surface. Simple cut the ferrite material to size using scissors or a knife.
Applying the material direct to the noise source reduces the amount of material used on the application. It is more practical doing this than fitting the material to an entire panel or wall away from the noise source. This provides cost and labour reduction benefits to the customer.
As electronic devices get smaller and faster, engineers are now facing more complex EMC problems. Our EMI absorber sheets are suited for a variety of applications such as low frequency, high frequency, narrowband and RFID/NFC/Wireless charging. Below is an overview of the solutions that we can offer:
Broadband Type
Broadband absorber types cover a wide range of frequencies from lower frequencies (200MHz and above) to high frequencies up to 10GHz:
– MAB Series
– MG Series
– MG-13 Series
Narrowband Type
Also known as Pinpoint types or microwave absorbers, these EMI absorbers attenuate 10-20 dB at one particular frequency. They are mainly designed for UHF (300MHz to 3GHz range) and SHF (3 to 30GHz) frequency range:
Flexible Ferrite Sheets
Narrow band type EMI absorbers (also known as Pinpoint types, microwave absorbers) attenuate 10-20 dB at one particular frequency. These are mainly designed for UHF (300MHz ~ 3GHz range) and SHF (3~30GHz) frequency range.
